FAQ

What's the difference between 'on point' and 'excellent'?

On point means your stat is where a solid player on that hero should be. Not a problem, not a standout. Excellent means you're clearly above the typical baseline for that hero at your rank. If you're on point, the category isn't holding you back. If you're excellent, it's probably a real strength.

What counts as good damage for a DPS hero?

Depends entirely on who you're playing. Widowmaker can win a fight with a third of what Bastion puts out, because the value comes from picks, not volume. There's no universal number. Each hero has its own reference point.

Why does the same stat mean something different for each hero?

A Mercy with 200 damage per 10 is doing her job. A Reaper with 200 damage per 10 is in serious trouble. The numbers don't mean anything in isolation, and this tool doesn't pretend they do.

My winrate is high but the tool flags my stats. Which should I trust?

Probably both tell part of the story. Low damage with a solid winrate can mean you're doing things right that don't show up in the numbers. It can also mean you're getting carried. The tool points at something worth thinking about, not a verdict to argue with.

How are the thresholds determined?

Research into what high-ranked players consider good numbers for each hero was the starting point. Submitted stats from the community are used to verify and correct those numbers over time. When something turns out to be wrong, it gets fixed.

Does this work for all heroes?

Yes, all 50. Tanks and supports have fully custom feedback per hero. DPS heroes are getting the same treatment in batches.
